Towards making this site more interactive, we are now soliciting and publishing essays from our readers.
Feel free to read through the previous comments first, and to respond to them as appropriate. Please, no flaming. Let's try and keep the discourse constructive and intelligent. Also, please do not embed HTML code in your comments. We would rather this did not have to be a moderated forum.
Please try to use paragraphs as large monolithic bodies of text are hard to read. Use two carriage returns to start each new paragraph. You might want to consider writing in your favorite text editor and then later copying and pasting it into the space provided below. (You may need to tab into the field to be able to paste.)
We will randomly select forum contributors to receive free copies of DeadBase, Jr. or its credit equivalent. To be eligile for the drawing essays must reasonable both in length (more than 25 words), and in content. Multiple entries from a single author which meet those criteria are acceptable as long as they are distinct -- each contribution will improve your odds. Winners will be notified by e-mail. We may also select some of these comments to include in DeadBase X.
We would like your comments and recollections on live experiences past, and on tapes present for shows which have not yet been covered in DeadBase. We already have extensive coverage for every show from the years 1988-1994; also please check for older conflicts, either via DeadBase IX, or e-mail us. We are most interested in the color that coveys your live Dead experiences to those not so fortunate as to be there then, and in realistic reviews on tapes not yet in global circulation. Selected responses may be published in a future issue of DeadBase. (Posted 6/1/96)
